After driving many Evo's with twin plate and single plate I personally would recommend a Ralliart single plate clutch or an Exedy single plate. The feel is good, it's firm without being heavy, with the Ralliart what I prefer more in being slightly heavier. Both take good abuse too with lots of launching.
It's not necessary to put a twin plate or a button type variety clutch as the Evo clutches are designed to slip slightly so the strain isn't transferred to the rest of the drivetrain; hence why clutch changes with Evo's are almost as common as changing the AYC fluid.
Race Torque and Tokyo Motorsports both do the Ralliart clutches with Race Torque being slightly cheaper on labour. _________________ Tim

I'm using the same clutch as Ken, No problem handling over 300HP and the price is reasonable. _________________ Dark quiet road....... |

I thought I might piggy back off this thread
Anyway I'm in the market for a new clutch as well.
Aiming for ~230Kw (bit over 300hp) on 4 wheels. So not aiming for anything heroic from the RB20
Any thoughts? |

Its not actually that hard.
Basically to get 300Hp from a Rb20:
High flow RB25 turbo (already got a standard one, not high-flowed)/HKS2530/Garrett GT2871r
Management (PFC)
fuel pump (heaps of choices all with very reasonable price as the pump required isn't anything special)
injectors (standard GTR ones are good enough for this application and are cheap to source)
fmic
3" turbo back exhaust
Z32 AFM
Its a matter of money there.
After that there is a bit of a dead spot in terms of power output RB20 before you either start moving into larger laggy turbos or opening up the head for some new cams and over-sized valves. |

I've got 300hp and my HKS Twin Plate holds up fine
RB20s can get 300 reasonably easily, but their fkn torqueless RB25 conversion ftmfw! _________________ Practicality is an unfamiliar concept |

lol rhys, you mentioned you have a hks twin plate 3 times in this thread I would recomment a single plate organic clutch. It should be easy enough for daily driving. Unless you are planning on significantly more power, exedy are hard to pass up |
